Call for proposals for Research Cooperability Program re launched

Unity through Knowledge Fund announces third Call for proposals within Research Cooperability Program, which will be open until Tuesday 15 December 2009.

In the framework of this program the Fund finances medium-scale collaborative research projects, which are implemented by public scientific-research institutions or SME's in Croatia, are in accordance with Fund’s goals and include cooperation with Croatian scientific and expert Diaspora.

Objective of the 1A “Homeward” Grant is to attract Croatian scientists and professionals from abroad to return home in order to enhance Croatia’s competitiveness. Objective of the 1 B "Crossing Borders" Grant is to support outstanding Croatian scientists and professionals working and living abroad (Diaspora) in establishing scientific cooperation with local scientists, as well as to foster Croatian institutions and enterprises to use potentials of Croatian scientific and professional Diaspora.

The maximum amount of funding that may be allocated to a single project for two years period is 1.470.000 HRK and the funding foreseen for this program in 2009 is 6.500.000 HRK.

Currently, Fund finances 17 projects within Research Cooperability Program  and the amount committed for this projects is over 2,8 mil EUR.
